air conditioning help!!!!!!

my ac compressor clutch keps cycling off and i checked the refergant level and it seems to be too much refergant... could this cause my ac compressor to do that...if not then what else could it be beccuase i have no a/c and it sucks....i dont want to add more refergant and have the thing blow up on me... i dont know what to do

never mind, the friggen recharge kit valve was broke and showed the wrong psi... that freaked me out! but for thoes who read and tried to think of an answer i thankyou
