Best DIY repair manual

I am interested in learning how to do basic maintainence on my own car. Right now, I can put air in the tires and change the wiper blades, but that's about it. I don't even know how to change the oil.

Which maintainence manual is the best? My Jeep dealer sells one, but I understand that others are also available. Which is the most comprehensive?

I'd give Bentley Publishers Jeep Owner's Bible a try. The Bentley Publishers manual I bought for my BMW is the best I've ever seen.

I like the helm's manuals personally.... either those or the actual factory issue shop manuals (those seem to be a great resource for many people to have.)

I just bought the factory service manual for about $70 off e-bay for my 93 maxima. It's great. It has more information on stuff than I would ever think aabout doing to my car, but it's really good. The chiltons/haynes manulas I've seen always seem to have some omissions, misprints, or lack of diagrams when you really need them.

Factory Service is the best. They have the most info covering the most areas and go into great detail.
