Here's a bargain:

This was on a D.C. TV station, but It seems to work throughout the country. You can get 1 free CarFax report (seems to be per computer) at:

www.nbc4.com

About half-way down the middle column, under "Online Extras" click on "Get A Free Carfax Vehicle History Report". They ask for a zip code, so it might be useful to know that a random one local to the TV station is 22182. The report I received was 10 pages.

Interested to hear about your experience if you try it.

Wow, if I paid for both the Carfax's I just ran I would be very disappointed.

The first one I ran was NOT accurate. It said there was one owner but in actuality there were three.

The second one I ran was also NOT Accurate. It said there were two owners when there is only one.

Now if Carfax can't be accurate about OWNERSHIP... How could the rest be valid?

I know it was free... At least now I know not to turn to Carfax for answers.

CarFax is only as good as the States reporting the info.
