New car!

Woo hoo! After years (literally) of threats to sell the Explorer, I finally did it last Friday. I was pretty sad to see it go, even after all the trouble it gave me, but the new owner is going to take very good care of it. Yesterday I bought a car that I have been wanting for a long time: a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited. The color is Deep Slate, which is almost black, but not quite. It will be delivered here Wednesday (bought it from a dealer in central California and it wasn't ready to go yet). The best part is that it only has 43,000 miles on it. I'll have pics once I give it the 3M/P21S/Blackfire/303/etc, etc, etc. treatment this weekend.

Take good care of that one... will be a collector's item someday! Hardest thing I ever did was part with a black '97 5.9 Gr. Ck.

Unfortunely poor gas mileage and defective diff's not covered under warranty, spelled the end fo me...

Great choice... I love Cheroke's, especially with that engine.

I didnt know they even offered a 5.9 in those.

Cody, the 5.9 engine was offered in the Grand Cherokees only in 1998, and they only made 15,000 of them.

Yobwoc, fortunately for me, the dealership is replacing the rear diff right now. That's why I won't have it until Wednesday. Then, I'm getting a good extended warranty.
