Audi dependability

How dependable are the new Audi's, anyone done any research? I have heard that in the past they were not so great. But I assume that may have changed. They are *very* popular in this nick of the woods (Denver/Boulder, Colorado).

I kind of like them, too.. Any comments? Seems like they would have improved them so you don't have to get them serviced as often as you used to, just like the other luxury car makers.

Thanks,
Josiah

I've owned a 1999 A4 2.8 Quattro for 4 yrs and the car was perfect. I've had more problems with Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. You can visit www.audiworld.com for Audi cars information.

european car magazine has a 2002 A4 3.0 CVT in their long term fleet and they have only had high praise for the A4. If my wife hadn't decided on switching to a mid-size SUV the A4 would be our next replacement vehicle.

Audi's are awesome cars. You will really enjoy driving them. I personally think they have some of the nicest looking cars out there. Reliability may or may not be as good as a Japanese car but do you want basic transporation or an enjoyable driving experience? Guess what my next car will be.

A friend of mine has an Audi TT. The car is posessed. For no reason, the alarm will go off, the windows go up and down (while your driving) plus other electrical snafus. He leased it and swears that he would never buy it out.
