My Carrera's birthday....and a trip down memory lane.
Senior Moderator
.
I have owned my 1996 Carrera 4S for exactly 10 years this month. It's been a great ride.
The first time we met. Photo taken at the dealership in August 2002.

Delivery!

Got my official Certificate of Authenticity listing the options and cost of the car when new. ($76k in 1996. Phew!)

The first wash!

First night in the stable. Sharing space with the 1999 Boxster, 2000 Audi S4 and 1958 Jaguar XK 150 (Those stablemates are all gone now.)

Installed Bilstein adjustable coil over suspension and lowered car. Also installed euro sway bars.

Bought Euro spec bumper from Belgium. No more big black rubber bumpers.
Before:

After:

Took care of those rear bumpers as well. And installed 'Big Oval' exhaust tips.

Bought lots and lots of tires over the years.

And quite a few distributor caps (It has 2) and spark plugs. (It takes 12)

And lots of oil!

Had a lot of fun at the track.

Removed moveable wing and installed fixed Porsche RS wing.

Been part of professional photo shoots.

Traveled to lots of car shows.

Slept with lots of different stable mates.

Got aluminum instrument trim rings last week.

This week I removed the old partial clear bra and replaced with FULL hood, nose, wheel well and fender coverage.

All the emblems, headlights, etc were removed to conceal as many seams as possible and get the max coverage. Can't touch me now!

And here is my mileage as of today. I hope it holds it's value after it hits 30k!

She's a real beauty, looks like she can give a silver bullit a run for it's money!
Hopefully the trip is far from over! Happy B-Day lil Carrera.....here's to many more!!

Here's hoping this is just the beginning. Lot of nice mods you have done.

Awesome, Brad; I still remember when you first got that car. Sure has come a long way since then!
