$1.71/gal for 92 octane Amoco Ultimate.

$4.00/gal for Sunoco 100 octane (unleaded). The ECU in my car yanks timing and boost when it hears detonation, and the hot weather around here lately has made for some sluggish afternoon driving. Next time my tank is low, I may just treat myself to five gallons of good timing.

Anxiously awaiting the arrival of a long, mild fall . . .

Here it's around $0.70 (CDN) per litre. This works out (after exchange rates and volume conversion) to about $1.70USD per gallon for regular unleaded.

I'm in Alberta, which is where most of the oil wealth is in Canada; it's cheaper here than it is in any other place in the country.

I'm in Quebec, Canada. Our gas is usually about Cdn$ 0.10 more than in Ontario. Yesterday it was Cdn $0.794/litre which works out to approximately U$ 1.70/U.S. gallon. That's for regular. For mid, add 3ΒΆ/litre and for premium add 6ΒΆ/litre, which is what I use. I usually do fillups on Thursdays, 'cause Ultramar gives a 3ΒΆ/litre discount on premium on Thursdays.

Here the price bounces around from day to day. Is it like that elsewhere?

In suburban Atlanta premium is running $1.41 to $1.45/gallon. I get gas at Sams Club or Costco and save 5-7 cents/gallon on those prices.

87 - 1.579
85 - 1.479

Are we the only place that doesn't have something higher than 87 octane for a mid-grade?
