Alright, fair enough. It's *close* to useless I don't think I've ever picked up any scatter with my V1. Then again, there's not too much traffic where I live, so I'm usually not grouped up with other cars.

Interesting - what was causing the false alarms? I've always found the laser alerts to be the most accurate fro the Pasport

I have a V1 and its the only radar detector i will ever use. its warned me of cops that are literally miles away. dont really need to worry about laser too much here but you do get them sometimes. if it was a problem i would for sure buy a jammer. as for laser false alarms, from what i have found they are mainly caused by red neon. some trailblazers and similar SUVs have neon third brake lights and sometimes makes it go off
