Eh, by the time you make up your mind you oughta be pretty certain that you're doing the right thing. Sometimes you just have to really explore all your options before you know that you had it right in the beginning after all.

While I don't mind doing the disposable-vehicle thing (sheesh, I've owned a million of 'em ), finding something you simply *love* for years/decades on end is *really* satisfying.

..If maintenance for Aston Martin's weren't so expensive.. mmmmm. I would go that route..

I dunno...I too find them just oh-so-seductive but who knows if we'd really like *owning* one Seems like it oughta be "just like the best Jag, only even better!" huh? But IMO you wouldn't really know until you'd lived with it for a while.

I do not think you should got the VW as I've have heard nothing but bad about the electrical on them... Have you thought about a BMW?
