Nah, I haven't made up my mind one bit. I think it will come down to a test drive. The last people I want to impress are the kids who think nitrous is NAWZ (not saying this is you) and are telling me that the Subaru is faster because its not a Chevy.

Chevy has a winner on its hands and who would have thought that it would even (ever) compete against the Subaru. I am only trying to defend the facts here.

In the end I will probably get the Sub because it does have AWD and I don't know if I can get over FWD. But I still need to test them first

Re: Cobalt SS vs. WRX?? Which one to buy

Agreed. Im not pushing the Subie I dont even own one. I simply think its better thought out, and it all comes down to AWD for me. Its practical. Bottom line.
No im not telling you the Subie is faster because it not a Chevy. It was in print in car and driver. Im not here to sell you a car for sure. I just thought it would be fun to pull a few stats on all the tuner cars, and post them to aid you in your choice thats all. Drive them like you stole um ! Have fun !

Re: Cobalt SS vs. WRX?? Which one to buy

In what year did WRX enter the market, not rally cross. The mass market ? Now what year did the Cobalt SS come into the market ? The Neon went through 6 ? years of disgrace before they worked out the bugs, and offered an SRT 4 version.
Now im true AMERICAN no doubt, but seem to me that the US takes years to refine ANYTHING.

It's actually 267 Todd. When I was detailing in Canada for Subaru, our Subie mechanic clarified that the actual horsepower rating is 267.

Although I hate to agree with big jim. The dyno doesnt make up for the drive train slack. Flywheel HP is Different from WHP, but when you rate 2 cars at the rear wheels on the dyno the numbers speak.
