Yeah too bad they never made it. Back in the day I believe BMW made a prototype with a door similar to that. Way back in the day in 1954 there was a car (Kaiser Darrin) that went into production but only one year. Their doors slid into the front fenders. It was SICK!!!! too bad it didn't catch on. Here are the Kaiser's

thats bad ***. see, why cant car companies come out with stuff like that, i wonder if the safety was compromised.
