Go Fast Tires

I can't believe it. Yesterday on my way to McDonalds about 7:30pm I'm at a stop light when a 1994 4-door Jeep pulls up next to me. It was all rusted out with a hanging exhaust a probably 2-grand invested in new rims and tires. This driver maybe 17 and his girlfriend look over at me and give me the nod to race. Get this I'm in my 1989 Chevy 3/4ton pickup truck. These kids took off like a bat out of hell. We got to the next light and they wanted to race again. Mind you I didn't race the first time but they were happy they beat me. I wish I had the money these kids are putting into wheels to put into a motor. Where are these kids getting the money. Probably Mom AND Dad.

Man, I hate that. That is just like seeing someone with $5000 worth of body kits, paint, wheels, interior, and engine mods on a 1993 Civic. They are either 18 and just realized that they can get credit cards (at 29% interest) or Daddy buys it.

I also hate it when people rev on you at stop lights. I get guys in Mustangs doing it all the time. I just tell them that I'll race when they take out 4 spark plugs. They grin the exact same way when they cross the finish line first even though I wasn't even racing. I guess guys with little tiny wee wees need the self esteem that they beat something.

Talking Jngrbrdman . . .

Is Wee Wee a technical term? I lauged when I read the post. Hey, we all have little hot rodders in our towns. I guess the big thing right now is to take trucks, lower them, put daytons on them, and cruise around. Not sure why, but hey, it's their truck.

the saddest thing I ever saw was an explorer on 13" wire wheels. :scared

Wee Wee is a highly technical medical term. I learned it in an anatomy class at Anthony's School of Phyisiology when I was 5.

The least they could do is pick on a V6. I'm just a tiny 1.8 L 4 cylinder.

LOL

I have seen it all.,......down the shore on the seaside strip. These guys transform cars so bad it's hard to tell what it started out as. HUGE exhausts, stickers, 20" wheels, underneath neon lighting, booming systems, and rear wings so big they can double as the breakfast grill at dennies. These kids have so much cash tied up into a 10-15K car, it's mind boggling. Some of them 17-21 are driving around in bimmers, benz, and lexus.......I have no clue where the cash come from...........

Probably from the same sources of all the Playstations,X-Boxes, etc that are re-invented every year or so.

I'd have to agree with Detailking. New Jersey has an over abundance of the fair share of riceboys around. The exhuasts only get bigger and bigger...

The funniest thing is to watch them pretend to drive stick. They'll be sitting in their stock Honda Civic DX in automatic. They will put it in neutral as not to be stepping on the brake. On a hill, they hit neutral again and will roll backward. And they always keep their hand on it, eventhough its auto.
