I even wear them sometimes when it's rainy/foggy as I seem to be able to see down the road a bit farther.

Re: Sunglasses!

In addition to my Serengeti drivers, I also have a pair of the Maui Jim titaniums for everyday use and a pair of Maui Jim Kahunas for really bright conditions. They are fabulous.

Re: Sunglasses!

In my civic I do not wear sunglasses (i have all the windows tinted including like a 25% tint on the windshield). My accord has no tint and I have to use sunglasses sometimes. I don't really like wearing glasses though when driving, I use my peripheral vision alot when I drive and glasses seem to obstruct that.

Re: Sunglasses!

I have a pair of of Dolce and Gabanna, and a pair of Dior's that I hardly ever wear. The sun doesn't bother me much in my car.

Re: Sunglasses!

I don't even like going outside (much less driving) without shades, always polarized. I have 2 pairs of Ray Bans, 1 pair of Costa DelMars, and 1 pair of H2Optix.

My wife doesn't get it, along with my OCD for detailing...

Re: Sunglasses!

sunglasses are essential when I'm in the Cobra. In addition to reducing glare, they also help keep all the flying crap out of my eyes.

Agreed. I bought some a few months ago (? on the name of the glass) but they are flexible and VERY VERY comfortable, I forget I am wearing them sometimes.

Also, I have had sun glasses with NO distortion. Nothing.

The lenses have seven or eight different layers that produce a squinting effect. They never fatigue me.

I can go on and on... get some.

Re: Sunglasses!

I'm on my second pair of Ray Bans. My first pair were the large aviator style with a driving tint (amber). After 15 years, I was getting lots of jokes about them being a little dated so I upgraded to a more contemporary look with the same tint. Always been happy with them and have had several friends purchase theirs based on trying mine.

I avoid polarized for the same reason as others: I hate the rainbow effect from tinted windows, can't read the display on radios, ipods, cell phones, etc.

I don't go without sunglasses. My eye docs recommended this based on being extremely near-sighted. I'm more prone to retinal detachment and bright light aggravates the situation.

Besides, sunglasses make you look cool!

Re: Sunglasses!

It's true that the polarized glasses can help you spot certain defects in paint.
I can't be outside w/o sunglasses - Not sure if it has anything to do with eye color but my eyes are blue and a few hours in the sun and I'll get a headache without the sunglasses. Those eagle eyes glasses seem to work good for me.
