Post im so unlucky...

So yesterday i just finished detailing my car which took me a while, my arm hurts still. But anyways my car was looking really good and i was hungry so i decided to go to pizza hut. I had just finished eating so i walk outside and the first thing i see is a white truck behind my car, i was parked on the curb so i thought he was going to park behind me, but nope, he keeps going right into the back of my car. So i start running to my car and the guy takes off! i jump in my car and start to follow him, only to be stopped by another car backing out and by the time i got out of the parking lot to the street, he was gone. I didnt get a liscense plate or anything! all i know is it was a white chevy, i dont have the money to fix this ><, the entire back bumper needs to be replaced, sigh....

Re: im so unlucky...

sorry to hear that.

you could report it to the police as a hit and run. they will keep a look out.

Hunt him. Search your neighborhood and the areas around the road you lost him. Search.

Drive the road it happened at different timesof the day. Wait around to see if the b"stard goes by.

You might spot him. You might not. But is worth a try.

Sheesh, sorry to hear about that

I agree, file a police report. Stuff like that on private property gets handled differently in different jurisdictions, but who knows, it might work out for you. LEOs spotting the guy and taking action would probably have a better outcome than *you* finding the guy

Re: im so unlucky...

When I was younger a very similar situation happened where a blue truck tried to take off on my friend. Being young, and not the brightest bulb, I ran out of passenger seat and jumped in the bed of the truck as they sped away. It was close to out o a movie. I kept knocking on the back window, lol.

I am sorry to here this happen to you!

Re: im so unlucky...

i checked with honda, and a new bumper is $260.82 primered. Im going to see how much it will cost to get it painted. My insurance wants to charge a $500 deductable to fix it, and i can put it on myself, so it might be worth just getting a new bumper instead of paying $500 and having my insurance go up.

Re: im so unlucky...

That really sucks. My best advice is get a police report and file an insurance claim.

Re: im so unlucky...

Sorry to hear that dude but I agree - keep a look for this guy and get his plates. He'll show up again.

This is a cool story and I could see myself doing this now... at 35 y/o. I need to grow up.
