Yes, this is sad news.
This article mentioned that he died after a lengthy hospital stay but neither of the articles I read state what he actually died from.

loved his show and the outstanding rods he produced, def. a man with vision, when it came to hot rods, life goes on but not quite the same without boyd, he will be missed.

Yeah I heard about that the other day. Pretty bad. I have friends that used to roll on sets of B. Coddingtons back in the day....waaaaaay before he had a tv show. Its still weird, like it didn't really happen. Good guy, I feel bad for the fam and friends. RIP
