Where to Buy: Jack Saddle

Guys, I want to get a new saddle (or two) for my floor jack. It seems the nominal diameter of the shaft is 1 3/16". I've been able to found one on eBay, but it's square. Does anyone have a good source for such a part?

Thanks.

That looks like an old Sears, like mine. I had a rough time finding stuff to fit. I did find some stuff to fit here: New Page 1 but I bought something from another place that I had to make an adapter sleeve for. What did you have in mind?

Mike, thanks for the reply. I'm trying to find a small (maybe 3" or 4" dia) flat rubber-covered plate w/1 3/16" stem. I've found a square one on eBay, but it's going to be a problem (too big) getting it to fit in the cutouts on my car where you lift.

I've purchased a few items from PROTECH in the past. I can't see that any of there stuff has the pedastal attached.

Re: Where to Buy: Jack Saddle

I think you're the guy that told me about Protech...I put that side lift pad on the end of my jack after taking the white saddle off. It makes me a bit nervous, but it seems to work (even though it's really got not a lot to seat/locate on). I did get a metal side lift thing that the plug was too small dia. and I had to make a sleeve for it. These darn old Sears pro jacks are great (other than the weight) but the diameters of the business end seem to be incompatible with current jacks and accessories.

Re: Where to Buy: Jack Saddle

I dunno, I think they've standardized around the 1 3/16" size stem. I think this pad is going to turn out to be one of those things you can't find when you want to buy it.

My old jack was purchased at Autozone about 15yrs. ago. Made in China, I think it's 2.5 tons. It has served me well, never had an issue with it. I just don't like the wide saddle that came with it as it tears things up due to its width
