New style Aurora owners Q?

what the hell are those two lights on the rear bumper for? they drive me nuts...obviously they aren't brake lights, what's the point?

I think they're just for looks. My parents have an aurora and that's the only reason i could think of. Maybe for safty? better visibility while backing up?

I believe they're rear fog lights. I think the cars in Europe are required to have at least one rear fog light and they're red, not yellow or white like the ones in the front.

I get really scared when I back up at night (recall in Newbury we have no street lights, nor side walks, nor stoplights for that matter) anyways, it's very hard to back up.

In our Bravada however the back up lights, light up the neighborhood when you hit the keyless unlock button. They stay lit for over 10 seconds, it's kinda freaky like head lights.

If you don't like them then disconnect them (well unless it's the only reverse light, which might be its main function)
