from what Ive read on s2ki.com new formula red has some red mixed into the clearcoat. So no it is not a ss paint job.

like everyone else said... if you're looking for a sports car go with the s2k, if u just want a luxurious coupe, go with the g35c. I do not consider the g35c a sports car by any standards. I have a 350z, and compared to my friends s2k, it's barreellllyyy quicker, and for sure, doesn't handle nearly as well. Now if youre going to get into modifications, then it's a different story

ehh.. looks like i was late to this thread.. u already got the s2k... nice choice!!! looks sick with the hardtop and front lip

Congrats on the purchase!!!
I have the exact same car, 2007 NFR S2000.
The car has a clearcoat on it but it's tinted which causes the pad to turn red. I've found the paint to be very soft so you shouldn't have to go too agressive to get the swirls out.

no problem, I too have my eyes set on an NFR or BB s2k, AP1 only though but thats still down the road. When I drove my friends AP2 i must have at least hit vtec 15 times within 3 miles. Ive been following the s2k since it was a concept and its such a blast to drive. You can find me over on s2ki with the same sn so if youve got any questions just ask away!

Exactly. The G35, as a GT, is intended for more comfort than a raw sports car like the S2000, or even a 350Z.

Although I am the consummate Honda apologist, put me down for one of those new Nissan 370Z's when they're out!
