Re: Honda Accord V6
Honda solved their V6 automatic issues part-way through the '04 model year and took care of the earlier model issues.

Re: Honda Accord V6
I test drove the new 2008 V6 coupe and LOVED it. My best friend purchased his 2005 Accord from his friend who he sees every night at his Karate classes. He will be introducing me so hopefully I can work out a deal.
I am also throwing the new Altima V6 coupe in the mix too. I don't want to settle on the Accord without checking it out. A bit cheaper too.

Re: Honda Accord V6
:P I own an 03 I4 and a 08 V6
They are very very different cars. The 03 feels really nimble and you can attack corners pretty easily, the acceleration is okay, but it is fun to rev up the engine. The 08 is a whole new ball game. The engine is more lazy, but it gives you this sense that you are going slow when really you could be going 80mph. Both cars are great. I also test drive the 190HP EX-L, and thought that the engine had enough power...I just wanted more....
oh and the VCM...is smoooooooth. You have no idea what is going on until you see the eco light on. The V6 sounds pretty good when you push it as well!

Spilchy, dude, don't forget to look into a Hyundai Sonata, then you get to deal with those Maxon dudes. Or ever worse, Global, home of the $750 vinyl self-adhesive door edge guards and tape pinstriping. (Sorry, this is regional Spilchy-Setec data)

YES! I'll bring some Guidos from the thread in the Hot Tub section and fist pump our way over to Global or Maxon and do it justice Jerzey highway dealership style.

Re: Honda Accord V6
Seriously, that Sonata is a nice car, as long as you're ready for the highway dealer BS. Just remember you don't have to pay for the glass etching even if they have already done it.

Re: Honda Accord V6
The Sonata doesn't feel as refined or as well thought out IMO. I guess it is really good value though.

Re: Honda Accord V6
While the Sonata *is* a nice car, it's no Accord for sure.

flat engines are not a very efficient design.

The 3D ones have better volumetric efficiency.
