ZR1 redux

Oh heck yeah....

2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 unveiled

I love how there are more carbon fiber accents. The C6 Z06 has some CF but you can't tell by looking at it. The exposed carbon on the splitter and such are great. Not a fan of that hood "window" though. Plus they are about 10 years too late. Corvette motors stopped looking good in the mid 90's.

Re: ZR1 redux

That's a hot car. I sure would love to see what GM could do with America's theme of "bigger is better" and stuff a 6 liter in there that was a DOHC/4VPC. I know they want to stay true and keep the push rod, but that is so far behind the times.

Re: ZR1 redux

Looks good for a Corvette (sorry... Import fan, but i am impressed). Didnt know the ZR1's were supercharged. Should be a beast.

Yeah, I wish they could be more high tech like Ferrari or something. It's better to have 480hp and 16mpg economy than 505hp and 25mpg economy. I'm sure Chevy is embarrassed by that.

Chevrolet's 505 hp economy car!

I'll probably never be able to afford one (the lottery isn't working out like I had hoped ) so on that note, I can hardly wait until I detail one.

Re: ZR1 redux

"there's no replacement for displacement" go pushrod V8

GM is doing a good job on cars like this, i just hope they don't do a pooch job on the new camaro. they'll definitly do offer a loaded down verson, but i hope they offer a crank window, big motor, tire eater!! with glass packs!!
