| Re: 1z Hand Polishing Micro Marring The 1Z Paint Polish should work well. If you need/want something milder, you could try their Metallic Polish, but IMO that's too mild. It does make for a nice follow-up *after* the Paint Polish though, I get good results from that progression. So *I* recommend you get both.
No, you won't mess it up doing it by hand. I used the old 3M PI-III products (Rubbing Compound 05933 and Machine Glaze 05937) on my Subies by hand and they're harsher than the 1Z stuff.
I would *NOT* use the Nu-Finish polish!
I'd use either a foam pad or a MF for the 1Z polish, and I'd buff off the residue with a very soft MF. 1Z polishes are incredibly user-friendly, just be sure to work them long enough to break down the abrasives (it's easy to do and also easy to tell when it happens, if in doubt, over-work them, they're OK to do that with). Top with a good wax. |
