Re: Sealant experts

I have a "pre mixed" bottle of PC'd UPP (half the dosage) that I keep handy. So far I haven't seen any adverse effects to the product and it was mixed ~2 months ago.

Aren't you supposed to discard the remanent of any PC'd product after 48 hours?

Re: Sealant experts

I can't answer that with something that has been fully dosed but with the ~half dose it's still working fine. It removes even easier than straight UPP and retains it's properties better as well.

Unless you live in HI I don't know that there's anywhere that you can buy Zaino and the others in the same place. You will likely have to place two orders.

yeah pakshak.com won't ship Zaino out of HI.

Is pakshak the only distributor of Zaino?

I think that's part of the agreement as a reseller as my local Z distributor only ships in CA as well. And no, there are several distributors of Z.

Re: Sealant experts

I think im going to try the Duragloss line (101 and 105) along with Menzerna...but will sealants bond to a glaze? im going to be using Vanilla Moose and RMG. Should i skip the vanilla moose and just use a Menzerna 106 + RMG and a sealant with a nattys blue over it?

Re: Sealant experts

IMO you wont need the glaze after getting the surface corrected properly.

Great choice!

As a general rule, it's best not to use glazes in conjunction with sealants. Of course, there are always exceptions, such as acrylic-based glazes like Danase Speed Glaze and (apparently) the new Surf City glaze which is recommended after the sealant. I would just go with polish then straight to Duragloss.
