Help! Grease stains on vinyl padded console

Brand new truck. Black vinyl padded center console/armrest. Some idiot put an apple pie plate on it and left a grease/lard ring that does not want to come out.

Can any of the folks on here recommend something that will get the shiny grease stains out without discoloring the surface? It is a low gloss finish and I don't want it to end up shiny.

Please

Re: Help! Grease stains on vinyl padded console

I would think that almost any of the interior leather/vinyl cleaners would work well on this. 303 maybe a good one for it. Vinyl is normally pretty hard and should be easy to work with.

I use a product called SD20 to clean greasy stains like that on carpet and vinyl. Its a foaming degreaser that is very gentle but works extremely well.

I've never heard of SD20?

Where do you find it?

Re: Help! Grease stains on vinyl padded console

Spartan makes it. We get it from a local distributor here in MN. You can get it in 4 gallon jugs, but I prefer the aerosol cans. Do a google search for it and try to find someone local to you.

It works great on vinyl and spot carpet cleaning. Ive even cleaned leather with it with no side effects.

Found this place on a quick google search. Bob Nagel Industries On-line Catalog: SP-SD20-20

How long do you leave it on there for?
