How do you guys clean your wheels between washes?

I have the brembo high performance brakes (stock) on my TL. It's so annoying how the brake dust accumulates on my rims especially just driving less than 10 miles.

I use Zaino Z-5 and Z-CS on my wheels to make brake dust not stick on my rims. Makes my cleaning easier in between car washes. When I'm giving my wheels a quick wipe down I use a terry cloth rag and use Meguiars NXT QD spray.

I'm just wondering what you guys use to keep your wheels looking good on a daily basis with your daily drivers.

Here's a few pics of my wheels... A-Spec edition wheels....

Sometimes I use PB SnW on a old MF to do the same.

I think you are doing about all you can. Give them a good wax now and then and QD them as needed to satisfy you. I don't know what else you can do.

Change pads. Axxis XBG metal or Axxis ULT ceramic have less dust. Porterfield R4-S brake pads are also pretty low on dust. All are sport/high performance brake pads.

I just had a break job done a couple weeks ago, but I like the stock ones because they don't have noise.

F.Y.I. hawk pads= better braking , less dust, no noise!

also I like an ONR/QEW mixed qd in a spray bottle
I think it is a little safer then a reg. QD with the dust

Yeah on the Acura forums some of them have hawk pads on their TL's

Why is it safer rather than using a reg QD?

Re: How do you guys clean your wheels between washes?

I think it encapsulates the abrasive brake dust better
so there is less of a chance of marring

I use PB's S&W and apply DG's AW every 3-4 weeks. Cleans right up.

Re: How do you guys clean your wheels between washes?

I switched to ceramic brakes. No noise, better stopping power and no dust.

I have Meguiars Wheel QD to test and it seems to work very well. I am not sure how it differs from their regular QDs but it does have decent cleaning power. Not sure if it is on store shelves yet though.

I never seen Megs Wheel QD in stores, but I was about to buy some online. I still have a couple of NXT QD bottles I need to use first before moving on to Megs Wheel QD.
