I currently use a EuroW mitt with my ONR washes and like it OK and I've been thinking of trying a different was media.
I use the regular, original shine formula of Armor All. I just grab whatever the softest chenille pads that Pep Boys, Big Lots, etc have on the shelf.

Really great write-up Scott, thanks

I've tried using a chenille pad with ONR, but I found that it turned almost black within a few panels, and it didn't seem to rinse out so easily in the bucket. I know that you don't get marring so I'm probably worrying without reason

Also how wet would you say you get the pad, is it soaking, or do you sqeeze it out somewhat?

This should honestly be stickied. It's definitely a good reference guide, especially for all of our current and future newcomers.

I dunk it into the ONR solution and squeeze out the excess. You still want to get a decent amount of ONR solution on the paint but you don't have to absolutely soak the car unless it is really dirty.

Scott, very helpful write-up. Thanks!

I'm curious though ... with ONR, what plush MFs do you use for your two drying passes?

Meguiars Super Terrys for the first drying pass, yellow (with black trim) 16 x 16 Excel Detail MFs for the second pass.

Awesome. I thought those were your towels of choice, but I thought that perhaps you had switched to all MFs for drying.

I find the Megs Super Terrys super easy to clean ... an added benefit when they're being used for the first drying pass.

Thanks again Scott! I've benefited greatly from your posts and expertise here.

I have it stickied in a forum I mod on another board but you have to be a member to even read the forums.

This thread should be a must read for all new members, it gives so much info so plainly. In addition it heads off some of the most common questions.

A Sticky MUST
