Autosharp Pen (removing excess paint)

I just received my autosharp pen and when I look at the "super sharp" tip that comes with it I fear that there will still be some paint overlapping out of the scratch and onto the veh paint. Has anyone had this problem and if so what did you use to remove the excess paint.

I think most folks here use fine paintbrushes then wet sand and/or polish away excess.

What do the instructions that came with it say to do? Is there a tech support # on the package? They should be experts at using it.
