Thumbs down Griots Micro Fiber Towels

I purchased a 3 pack of the white Griots Micro Fiber towels. These were the my first experience with MF's and I have been using them for wax/polish removal only. Recently I have noticed tiny marrs in my paint and after closer examination it looks like the cause are the Griots towels. They have also started to lint like crazy after 2 washes.

Has anyone else on the forum had problems with these?

I have now have switched over to the neatitems MF's but it still pisses me off as to what I paid for these things. 3 for $18 I believe.

I know Griots is a good name but I plan on calling and complaining tomorrow.

You should try out the MF Towels at.......

www.pakshak.com. I just got two of them and they are pretty good. Very comparable to the neatitems which i also have. Well it is a little bigger than the ones i got from neatitems. It is 16"x16", I believe the neatitems MF towels I have are 15"x15". Take a look at the pakshak.com site for the pics of the towels. The tag on the towel says it is 70% Polyester and 30% Polyamide. So they are good quality.

Peace

Pathfinderguy....

I wouldn't if I were you. I plan on calling Griots tomorrow and letting customer service know about how crappy they are...

I did just order two MF"s from that Pakshak.com. I'll let you know how they are....

Update: Well I called Griots today and explained the situation. They were really good about it. They offered to refund my money or replace the towels. The towels are about a year old so I think I will give some new ones a try. What the heck it can't hurt. Worse case scenario is I use them for glass cleaning.

Their customer service is really good...

Yea I have noticed that mine lint like there is no tomorrow. Shame cause otherwise they are awesome towels. Good price, great plushness and nice size.

I agree! I sent back a pair of horns that I never put on my car over a year later and they refunded my money. They may be expensive and may not have the greatest stuff (although they have some pretty kick @ss stuff) but their customer service is exemplary.

I just picked up some of the yellow Griot's MF and noticed that one side is more plush than the other. This maybe a stupid question but does that mean I should only use the more plush side on the paint? (my first encounter with MF)
