Polishing white Tundra?

I just acquired an '06 Tundra in Natural White. It is slightly used with just over 2200 miles. I love the way this truck looks especially with the 20' Enkeis. I just started to polish the paint to remove very slight hairline scratches. So far I have used Menzerna IP with a white polishing pad and Poorboys 2.5 with a white pad also. The Poorboys seems to give me better results although I can still see a slight amount of the scratches remaining. I am not looking to get it totally perfect since it is a white truck and these scratches can only be seen with the high powered halogen lamp.

I followed up the PB 2.5 with Sonus SPX 3 final polish using a blue finishing pad. I have only done one side of the bed so far and after using the final polish I can still notice that it is slightly hazy when compared to the doors which I haven't touched yet.

Are there any other pad and product combinations that anybody could suggest that will give me better results? I pretty much have a wide assortment of different pads and my polish lineup in addition to those mentioned above include Poorboys SSR 1, Sonus SPX 1, 3M Perfect It II rubbing compound, 3M finishing material, Blackfire finishing polish for ceramic clears, Menzerna IP and 3M swirl mark remover for light colored cars.

So, out of those what do you think would give me the best results? Thanks for your help.

What are you using a DA/High Speed Polisher? It take awhile for polish to break down if your using a DA.
Tha pad is also an issue I use a orange pad that's between a polish and compound pad and with PROPER PRESSURE this process works for me. Good Luck

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I am using a PC 7424. I think I'll try the Sonus SPX 3 with a white polishing pad next and see how that works. Still open to suggestions though.

I would use Menzerna IP or Poorboys with an orange pad and then straight to Blackfires polish with a white pad to finish it off. The Blackfire polish is too good to be sitting on the bench.

Okay thanks! I'll definitely try that. After finishing with the Sonus SPX 3 with a white pad the results are better, but there is still the slightest haze left over.

Here is an update:

After trying the above suggestion using the Blackfire polish and white pad I was still unsatisfied with the results. I then turned to my 3M products and was thoroughly pleased with the results. I have no idea why I didn't just start with this from the get go since I have had very good results with it in the past. I guess I was thinking the internet exclusive "boutique" products would yield better results. I was definitely wrong. 3M RULES!

To summarize, I first used Perfect It II Rubbing Compound with a green pad followed by 3M finishing material with a white pad and finally 3M swirl remover for light colored cars applied with a blue finishing pad. I still have quite a bit of the truck still left to do, but am wondering what LSP I should go with? My choices are between AJ and SG. Would you recommend that I apply the Prime (AJ) or AIO (SG) prior to either of the sealants, or would it be unnecessary due to the above procedures aready being performed?

Well, you kow what, bottom line is we can all ask questions about products here but it really comes down to testing products on our own paint to see what we like and what works. Glad the 3m worked out, I have used them in the past and while they don't get a lot of press here at Autopia they are top notch polishes
