Questions about machine polishing. waxing

Can someone explain the proper steps to polish and wax a car using a machine buffer. If you could also suggest products, both machines and polishes/wax.

Also can you explain the process(ie do you just remove the polish with the machine, or put it on 2)

Any help would be appeciated.

thanks

How to polish a car - if you have the correct applicator pad and polish product then read this link, it'll save me from typing the same thing:

Most of the time if you apply the polish and work it into the paint the right way it is really easy to remove. I prefer to remove anything by hand now, I used to used the buffer to get large sections like my doors, hood and roof but it doesn't really save that much time and I like to be extra careful.

Technique is very important and using which pad with which product and speed to use it at....Look for "Porter Cable"posts
and "Machine"
Also David has a book that we all recommend to read first....its on this site, the first few chapters are free, if you buy it..it helps support this forum
