How many people detail their lawn mower?
Marketing Manager
Today I found myself obsessed with the finish of my green Craftsman lawnmower. I started the process by degreasing and hand washing it and then I buffed and wax it. I couldn't help myself. You would never know it's 7 years old. Does anyone else do this to their yard equipment? I figure if it's painted, it can be cleaned and waxed.

I am laughing so hard reading this. My girlfriend thought I was nuts, but I was bored a couple weeks ago and my husqvarna lawn tractor received a full polish and carnauba treatment. It was also my guinea pig for sonus trim and motor kote(thumbs down!). Anyway yeah, that's hilarious...your shiny mower is not alone!

Ok, I'll come out of the closet too.
Not long ago I spotted my new Shindaiwa weed eater in the basement.
Yup, Clearcoat RMG, Autoglym SRP, followed by Souveran. It's a sort of a similar darker red kind of like the Imola red of the coupe.
Megs trim restore on the black plastic string guard.
Somehow I don't feel so bad now,
It stays in the basement during the winter otherwise I would have gone with Collinite 476 as a topper. Stop laughing!

Neighbours thought I'm crazy when I asked to practice my rotary on their lawnmowers/tractors... I now feel much relieved after reading this thread!

Though I don't do it nearly as much as my car, I detail my lawn mower too. My wife thinks I'm nuts.
I've also been eyballing some of the scratches on the top of my washer and dryer. I'm afraid to actually go after them though. That just sounds crazy, even to me.

I've done both the washer and dryer. The finish on mine is very hard, so I used SSR2.5 with an orange pad topped with FMJ since durability was not an issue
I have also done the dishwasher and stove. Someday I'll AIO and SG the shower.

I do our washer/ dryer. It actually sits out in the open, so anyone coming in the back door sees it. SSR 2.0, Z5Pro and Z8. Lemme tell you though...the cat ain't happy! She'll jump up and slide all the way across it.Quote: Originally Posted by Ghaleon0721
