So my Dad sent me an e-mail to give me an idea for his birthday gift...

"If you are looking for gift ideas, I can use Quick Shine and the soap you use to wash a car using one gallon of water."

He will be 68 in less than a week and still takes care of his and my Mom's cars.

Good for him. Hell, most 30 year olds are too lazy to take care of their car, much less someone who is 68! If only my parents could properly take care of their cars.

Reminds me of an elderly lady I saw for 2 days in a row 'detailing' her car. She seemed somewhat frail and had to be close to 80. She was wiping down the hinges of her trunk! I almost wanted to drop off some QD and a bottle of wax

She was either a true Autopian, a little OCD, or really bored...or all of the above LOL..but that could apply to alot of us HAHAHA

Great thread Scott! I'm 62, work Mon-Fri in one job and detail 1-2 BMW's per weekend for a reseller, plus keep my 2 family vehicles in shape.

I'm also diabetic and the doc likes the idea of me keeping active. He doesn't want to see me as a couch potato as that has bad health effects.

My dad is 70 and still does physical work. I met an 88 year old who was racing motorcycles at Beaver Run. He said "at my age if you slow down you die"
