05 Black Range Rover

I am preparing to do my first detailing with a PC on a 05 Black Range Rover.

I do not have near the level of experience that many of you on this board have. And I know that many of you on the board have worked witha myriad of makes/models/color of cars, so I was wondering if any of you could recommend
pads and products that worked well for you in the past on the exterior of this kind and color of vehicle? Also, if you ran in to any pitfalls that I should watch out for?

Thank you for your time,

Brian

try it yourself to see what product/pad combo works best for your style of detailing.

light pad light polish >light pad heavier polish > med pad heavier polish > heavy pad heavy polish....start with the lightest combo and work your way up until you find a combo that will work best, then work back down to finish it out nicely

Speak of the devil, just detailed a Range Rover in Dark Blue..

http://autopia.org/forum/showthread.php?t=79452

I would recommend Menzerna IP and FPII with orange cutting pad and white polishing pad respectively. Although I did this client's RR with a rotary, the clear wasnt terribly hard and PC should be able to do the trick. I hope the Range you are doing isnt as bad as the one i did!!! lol
