Questions about proper procedure

Hey guys i got a few more questions for you as I read more and more of the posts on this site. Sorry if they are insanely obvious. As I mentioned a little while back I am planning on doing the whole Klasse thing using a PC polisher, along with SMR. I have a few questions. One is with AIO do you need to wait any time between the application and removal of the compound, or can you take it off as soon as it dries. I have been hearing you guys talk about the time you spend between coats of the Klasse glaze. Do you leave the actual stuff on the car before buffing for that long, or do you buff it out immediately and let the car sit? Finally, my last question is about PC technique. People are always talking about using the PC to apply material, how about taking it off. Does everyone just attach a buffing pad to the PC and remove the product, or are any of the products applied with the machine and removed by hand? Sorry for the silly questions, but they have been nagging me. I would like to have a full plan when I decide to go to it sometime in the spring.

The consensus about removing AIO is immediately after applying or when done applying to whole car.

With SG you apply and remove then wait to apply another layer.

Some will use a MF bonnet over a wool bonnet for removal others just remove by hand. The choice is yours.

Figs, for AIO, apply it to one panel and then buff it off immediately. There is no dry time for AIO.

For Klasse SG, apply a coat to the entire car, wait 20 mins to an hour to dry and then buff it off. Wait at least a day for the coat to cure and then repeat the procedure.

Intermzzo, I got a question. So I don't have any form of covered parking, won't leaving the car out overnight allow for "stuff" to get on the car and then lead to sctratches the next day if I re-apply SG?

Before applying another coat it is advised to quick detail the car to remove any dust or dirt. This will remove the dirt that accumulated during the night.

Or...If the car is too dirty for QD, you can wash the car again before you apply another layer of SG.

By quick detail, you mean to use the spray on stuff from meguires or something. Also rewashing the car won't remove any of SG?

Rewashing with normal car shampoo will not remove SG.

Yes quick detailers are like Meguiars Final Inspection, Eiman Fabric Clear Pearl, Zaino Z6 Gloss Enhancer, One Grand Show Off.

Do a search on QD and you will find a wealth of information.

In the Poll section there is a thread about favorite QD products as well.

Figz, another option might be to layer 3 coats of KSG in one session. Although many here might recommend against this, many of the old-timers here on this forum have done that with good results (before the issue of polymer cure-time was raised as an issue). Since this will take you several hours, I would still recommend QDing with a carnauba-less QD between coats though.

Hey Justin, yeah I could do that.

Just apply a coat of SG, wait for it to dry, then buff. Right after buffing, do a QD to make sure you got all the KSG off (this would work great with Sonus QD!). Take a 15 min break and repeat the same procedure until you've got three or more coats on your car.
