HELP! This hard water is killing me

So I just moved to Alberta and the water here is so hard I am actually scratching my paint! I have gone 2 years of washing my Crossfire in Vancouver without ever incurring a single wash swirl. I have been in Calgary 1 month and my first car wash has covered the car in wash swirls!

I am very meticulous about how I wash my car, I have seperate buckets and mits for the wheels and body and I always wash from top to bottom refreshing the bucket and water as necessary...

What can I do about this hard water? the water drieds extremely quick and leave ROCK HARD water spots.... any attempt to clean them off just kills the paint.

not sure about the hard water(could use ONR or QEW & distilled water)
but tell me more about how you wash your car:
two years and not a single wash swirl! wow you must be a god

I think every time you wash or dry any car you get some maring
and after two years you are starting to notice!

regardless of how they got there use the search to gain info
and have some fun getting ride of them

An in-line hose filter for minerals will solve the problem...although I don't understand why you can't dry the car quickly enough?

When I've got most of the water off, I'll often give a light mist of QD when doing my final wipedowns. I find it helps to keep down spotting

I bought a whole house water filter at Home Depot. It has a mineral filter or a charcoal filter. I used the mineral one, it's not perfect but cut down on the water spots maybe 90%.
