paint transfer onto pads

assuming this only happens from single stage paint on a regular basis, is the PC pad done for after it has paint transfer on it? can it be cleaned off enough to reuse on other colored paints, only similar paint colors, or do you recommend trashing it?

Mine have been fine

I've used some pads on single stage paint and they've been fine after washing. I'm currently using DP powder to clean the pads. Works well.

Yeah, clean them as best you can and don't worry about it. I might think twice about using a pad that's *really* stained with red paint on a white car, but generally it's just not an issue. I used the same pads/wool bonnets/etc. on all different colors of ss back in the day and I don't recall any problems at all.

EDIT: Now that I think about it...I did have two pads, one for dark/red and another for all the other colors...but that was using wool pads on pretty soft ss.
