Smile Can you guys set me up with a plan? (long)

Hi all,

I've searched all over the forum and have done a lot of research, and I find one product that I want to get but then I hear something negative about it or find something better. Here is my scenario:

Vehicle: 1995 Ford Explorer Limited. All options including painted to match running boards and grille. Tan leather interior. Lowered 1 1/4", so it doesnt see much offroad except for gravel roads, but its still 4x4, so it gets into mud and stuff every now and then. The paint is in good condition for the age. Has a good amount of swirls, but only the kind you can see in certain light and angles. Has a couple light scratches. The paint is otherwise in great shape. It is the Willow Frost color.

Interior is in great shape. No stains, cut seats, etc.

The products I use now are as follows:

Wash: Meguiars GC
Drying: CWB and a towel
Windows: Eagle 1 20/20
Polish: NuFinish and Meguiars #7 (havent used #7 yet on this paint)
Wax: Meguiars #26
Wheel cleaner: Meguairs Hot Rims right now, but doesnt seem to be doing much.
Tire cleaner: Greased Lighting or Meguairs GC
Tire dressing: Eagle 1 Protectant
Exterior trim: Eagle 1 Protectant
Interior (dash, doors): Black Magic dressing (kind that YoSteve likes)
Leather: Eagle 1 cleaner and conditioner

And some other stuff, ask if it would help any.

I plan on making an order sometime in the future, once I get the money, from somewhere like CMA or Tacscar. I'm looking to spend $80-$100 including shipping. What all do you think I should get? Could you please give me some advice on which products I shoudl get for the areas listed above?

I greatly appreciate any help you all can provide me with. Thanks a bunch

Grant

Well,

The Klasse combo, $40.
A gallon of EF Hi-Intensity, $20.
Polish - Try locally at NAPA or such from 3M or Meguiars swirl remover.

What kind of towels do you use?

Well thats what I can think of off the top of my head,
Jason

Ya, get those. Also get either the Meguiar's #9 Swirl Remover 2.0 or the 3M Swirl Mark Remover to polish with before doing the Klasse thing. Personally, I prefer #9, but there are many that love the SMR. That should be around $10. Some quality MF towels are nice to have, too.

Well, I was pretty much set on the Klass Kit and EF HI in some form, and maybe some EF Clear Vision, that 32 oz is tempting. I was leaning more toward #9, but if I had a PC or a good polisher I would use the 3M SMR. As far as towels I was looking at the Viper 3 packs and maybe one of the glass cleaning cloths. The leather care has been a toss up, I cant decide between Auto Glym, Lexol, and Hide Food. The Pinnacle sounds nice but its too much just for leather conditioner right now.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, keep em coming!

Ef Clear Vision is great! I can send you a 16 oz. sample which you can put into a spray bottle and use. What was I thinking buying a gallon of that stuff?????

For leather, I think Eagloe One makes a good product based on the reviews. If I'm ever by an x-mart type store I'll pick it up (cleaner/conditioner only $10.)

The EO cleaner works good (especially after the cat puke episode) but I think the conditioner is drying out the leather or something. Its soft and smooth, but it feels dried out almost. I dont know if it was like this before and I just notice it more now or what. Its alot easier to use than the Meguiars Gold Class stuff though.

You might want to consider Leatherique for your leather. Very good product.

try to find the meguiars GC wheel cleaner. this stuff seems about 20x more powerful than the HR cleaner.
