01 bmw 525 ... need advice

Hi

my brother owns a 2001 bmw 525, silver color.

i want to detail it but the strongest combo i have is orange lc pad and optimum polish ... it has some swirls which are a bit deep, i think its gone through automatic washes before he owned it.

i'm afraid this won't be enough, i guess i could do a test spot, but will i likely need something more powerful .. like opt. compound?

If you do a couple slow passes with moderate pressure, you might be suprised at what you can do. Try it first, if it still isn't enough, you could pick up a bottle of OC. Also keep in mind that it doesn't *have* to be perfect (I know, blasphemy)- sometimes you can only do so much with what you have, and that's ok.

I just tested out a spot on a very neglected '93 Jeep Grand Wagoneer (my test rig) with over 140k miles. Using a 4" Cyclo Green pad and only O.P. it took 4 rounds but about 90-95% of the swirls/scratches are gone. I'll post pics if I can find the adapter for my digital camera.
