Alacantra (suede) seat shaving/repair???

My seats come with Alacantra (fake suede, but looks, feels, smeels like real suede) inserts. I am VERY happy with how they look at 152k miles however the driver seat needs some attention.

The suede insert is begining to pill quite a bit and I'm looking for a solution to bring it to the quality of the rest of the seats...

lets start with how it should look...this is the pass side, nice and smooth but texture is still there

here is the driver side...you can see how its pilling and needs to be trimmed but what method/tool should be used???

another shot of the diver

Sean, I'll be honest I have no clue where to get a clothing specific shaver. While at Target one day I noticed some inexpensive electric beard trimmers which should trim fairly close but nothing directed at a sweater/wool specific tool

I have heard of people using mens electric razors to remove pilling from baseball hats etc. Why not try a small area and see how it works. Should be fairly save...if it doesn't cut your face it should damage the alcantera. I would just go very slow so that you're not pulling the fabric but instead cutting it off.
