Couple questions before I start:
This is a daily driver and I can maybe hold off not driving for a day or two, but anymore and cabin fever will set in (I can't stand Public Transportation).
How should I go about SG layering? I would like to put a couple coats on my car and let it sit, but I would like to do 5 total.
Am I running any risk of screwing up the finish if I do 2 layers, without wax, driving to work, coming home, washing and then applying more layers in a few days?
It seems like I shouldn't layer SG over top a layer of wax (Souveran in this case).
I tried to perform a search on this and couldn't tell whether you all let your car sit when you do your SG layering, or if you're out and about in between layers.

It seems like I shouldn't layer SG over top a layer of wax (Souveran in this case). | The first time I use the AIO on a car I like to follow up with a coat of SG soon thereafter (on the same day). However for future layers it is fine to wash first then layer more SG especially after just a few days.
Consider using clay first though because Klasse last for so long you'll want to make sure that you do a good prep job with clay and AIO first. Then several coats of SG will last and last.
Our minivan's AIO and one layer of SG looks like it just got the treatment after I wash it and it is now 6 weeks old.

I just got my package from CMA so i'm ready to begin.
I am going to wash with Dawn, clay with the Mother's Kit that started off my detailing obsession, wash with PBS, attack the swirls with 3M SWR, 2 coats of AIO, and 2 coats of SG.
I'll be adding a few more layers of SG as needed and then top off with Souveran.
Wish me luck, i'm going in captain....

To get the best results you are looking for then patience will be the key. Don't try putting on too many coats without allowing them to cure properly. You can get away with 2 coats a day but let it cure for an hour or so before you buff it off. SG look good but the hazing is a bit of a pain to deal with if you don't use it right.
Your plan of doing a couple layers and then letting it sit is a great plan. As soon as you wax it then it ends your SG layers. 5 layers of SG would look great and Souveran will make it look even better. You'll still get to layer your car with that since it only lasts around 6 weeks before you have to reapply it.
I put a dozen coats of SG on my car over several weeks. Then I just started layering the PPG on it. That was almost as fun. I think you are going to enjoy it.

Also, you can use the car and space out your 5 cvoats if you wish. Just wash the car real good before apply SG.
If SMR gets the paint the way you want it, I would skip AIO, and CERTAINLY not do 2 coats. Why use abrasives any more than need be.....you are marring and abraiding the surface more with each coat, and it is simply not necessary.
If SMR gives gets the paint looking great, I would go right to SG.
Also, if you look at the label on SG, it says to do exactly that....
Good luck....

You will also notice that as it cures it actually looks better over time, which is the reason why it looks better if you let it cure at least a day between coats because of proper layering, if you get the chance. But longer than a day is just as good. Good luck and show us some before and after pics when you're done

I used the Eagle one spray, it make it incredibly easy to take off. I've been Using the CA duster every few days and after 3 weeks the car looks just washed. A 3rd coat goes on this weekend (after a wash) | |

However the bottle of AIO says that it is non abrasive and when I rub it between my thumb and finger I don't feel any abrasives either. The way I understand it is AIO is a paint cleaner that uses chemicals for its cleaning action rather than abrasives.
