I think Consumer Reports were impressed with the "Nu" spelling.

Must be good eh?

took everyone's advice and bought the meguiars color x and returned the nu finish polish . My local autozone also had the meguiars #7 and #27 products also. is the color x a polish or what? it will strip off any wax thats already on the car right? all i have to do now is wait for a nice sunny day to start detailing...but some questions first, how many coats should i apply and should i let it haze first before wiping or wipe it right away? how often should the color x be applied (ex. after every wash, weekly, yearly?)

IIRC, ColorX is a strong paint cleaner with abrasives too. So yes it's a polish. You only need to apply 1 coat of the ColorX. Yes it will remove any wax that is on the car already.

I'd try the #7 after the Color-X and see if it makes a worthwhile difference. Meg's says to *not* let the Color-X dry completely before buffing it off (IIRC).
