Yeah black's the hardest color to keep clean (which only lasts for 2 to 3 days), but it is managable. The trouble with black is that it absorbs light so any imperfection is more visible to our eyes.
My current car is silver.
Enjoy whatever color you get!

A light clay (ClayMagic)
3M PI III Machine Glaze with a polishing pad
Wax of your choice
I know there's alot of boutique and high end stuff and every other product under the sun here, but the routine I just gave you will give you superb results...good luck!

I personally would get the silver because it's so easy to care for, and with sealants like UPP and Zaino, silver can look wonderful.

Car dealers are your best friend, until something is wrong. If by chance he took delivery of the car, then found damage, the dealer may or may not accept responsibility. It would be up to them.

I'm not going to tell you what color you should buy, but I would recommend you install some 3M protection for the front nose and rear 1/4 panels of you choose black. Like a few others said, stone chips are very noticeable on black cars more than any other color. I guess it wouldn't hurt on silver either.
I used to do all of the new car preps for the Porsche/Audi dealer in my area. The easiest way to remove the plastic is to let it sit out in the sun long enough to get warm and then begin peeling from the corners. It should come right off. I would use a mild tar/adhesive remover to get the excess glue remaining on the paint from the plastic. If the paint does need claying, you will probably need to do some light buffing. I wouldn't worry about waiting to wax it. Paint should be cured well enough.
Good luck & congradulations on whatever color you choose. Both great choices!!

When I had my black car I considered making a little cup holder for it I used it it so much.

Black is the way to go. If anyone in the entire world can keep a black car looking its BEST (even if it's not perfect), it's someone who has the knowledge and tools from this community. Enjoy your ride!

I thought of how every time I take my E55 out of the garage even the day after washing, backing out as I look down the hood, I see the dust covering the hood. That would have made me insane with black. I love the black, but the GT silver adds that bit of "wetness" or depth that you don't get with arctic silver. For you porsche o'philes here's the rest of the spec:
GT Silver
Std. Black leather
Carrera sport wheels (w/ colored crest of course-another ridiculous extra)
Sport Chrono package
Short throw shifter
Power seats
heated seats
self dimming mirror
Bose high end sound package

Join Date: Jan 2004 Posts: 617 | we'll see about my Arctic Silver not having ''wetness"....just ordered some FK1 425 (seems to be causing a stirr). http://www.fk1usa.com/products-consumer.htm
Congrats, I'll have to check out that GT silver over on the Rennlist.
p.s. Try the Klasse VLRP on your black plastic. Porsche interiors love that stuff.
