Looking for a good hose nozzle---->

I go through a hose nozzle every few months. The steel ones are made of soft die cast metal and seem to bend and deform easily when dropped on the ground. I bought a nice black resin one from target and the damn thing seized on me, and then I broke the lever off it while man handling it try to get it to work. I just can't seem to find a good hose nozzle that produces both a fine mist and a strong concentrated spray. Any recommendations on one that is under 10-15 bucks?

This is a nice one from Griots Garage. One of my suppliers knows that I like to detail cars and gave me this nozzle as a Christmas gift.

In all honesty, it is really too much of a good thing. The construction is fantastic, but I would never drop it on the driveway or leave it outside.

And it does cost too much - $100.

The reason I am posting this, is that I am sure that someone else sell this for much less. Just like the PC that Griots sell for $200.

Every year (seasonal) the Sam's Clubs in Tulsa get in some made by RainBird. Its a twofer, one with all the selections and a second twist type for around 24 bucks. I like the one with the selections cause it has a setting called "center." That setting is basically a jet stream, but their are 10 or so streams shooting out instead of just the one. Of course, you get all the other normal choices too.

Check em' out if you can.

Nozzel

I get mine from Sears. It has ~ 6 settings on it. One is called "gentle shower" and I use this setting for washing my car. I think the price is around $10.

Home Depot

Home Depot has pretty nice nozzles around here. Mine is part metal/plastic and is very abused being dropped and thrown about. Little scuffed up, but works flawlessly.

I used to be a Brewmaster & the ultimate, "last a lifetime" nozzle is hands-down a Strahman. It was in my hands for 6 out 8 hours everyday. Indestructible, not cheap though.

$100 for a hose nozzle. Griots has to be the most overpriced source for detaling products I have ever seen.

Just buy a bunch of cheapos and keep them handy...Never fails that they break but you always have a spare and save money...

I prefer the ones with rubber coating on them so they break less when accidently dropped.

Yeah, Griots chemicals aren't too bad, but when you start looking at their other stuff, the pricing gets pretty silly.

I am sure that the same nozzle must be available some place else. A manufacturer couldn't make them for the handful that Griots sells in year.

This is the best nozzle I have used to date. I like it better than the pistol grip style because it is easy to maintain a constant spray and is widely adjustable. I found mine at Home Depot but didn't see it listed on their website.
