water spots

This has probably been discussed before but I missed it. First off..water spots on glass. My truck sits outside 24/7 and we had three weeks of bad weather with some cold clear days mixed in. Now I have water spots that will not come off with even Stoners Invisible Glass. Might detail clay remove them? Same problem on the black paint. I had detailed the truck before winter set in with a finishing coat of Mothers Reflections and OCW. A follow up with OCW or Reflections FX spray wax won't remove the water spots. Is this something that will have to wait for warmer weather and break out the PC and remove them with polish or is there a quicker remedy?
Any help, appreciated

PC, polishing pad, AIO, speed 3. That has gotten off alot of the waterspots I've had from the glass. For the paint, the minerals in the waterspots may have actually etched the clearcoat. You may have to take an abrasive polish to them to remove them or a glaze to hide them.

Water spots (just did this on a black Acura TL yesterday) I generally try the least agressive approach and work my way up from there. I was able to remove some spotting due to parking near sprinkler heads by washing, then buffing with a blue Propel pad and using some VM. Took them out no problem, so I just wax and sealed that panel.

On glass, I have gone the spectrum of what I just described, to pulling out an orange pad with some light cutting polish, to vinegar/water.

We have extremely hard water in our part of the area. I removed spots on glass yesterday on two huge trucks with my rotary/yellow wolfgang pad/optimum compound on 2500rpm with alot of pressure. I have never had the vinegar/water trick to work for me due to the hard water.

The best way i found to remove water spots off glass is fine steel wool and glass cleaner, with some hard rubbing you should get good results. Caution! Do Not try this in direct sun light or on outside rear view mirrors.

Klasse AIO works for me every time, and we've got some mad hard water in AZ.
