Dawn, GC wash, Mother's Clay, FI-II with PC, #9 2.0 with PC, and Gold Class wax. I was a little dissapointed with the FI-II. It didn't seem to do very much for me, but it did a little. My black '92 BMW was not as black and dark as I had hoped. It looked very nice after I buffed out the #9. I was pleasantly surprised with the Gold Class wax, which I used for the first time. Don't worry; I'll conform to the Autopian ways soon and use either Zaino or Klasse. I found that the Gold Class wax made the car quite reflective, but not very deep in color. I will add some #26 tomorrow to see what that does.
I detailed my car with a couple buds of mine. They did their cars and we all helped out with eachother. However, their one step cleaner waxes are definitily NOT up to Autopian standards!!!! They were bamboozled at my engine degreasing, Dawn wash AND GC wash, clay, and multi-step polish with a machine! I let them try out the PC (I made them buy some cheap NicSand pads from Pep Boys... hehe-- no way they're using my CMA pads with their cleaner waxes!), and they were amazed out how well it worked. Even with their Zymol/Turtle Wax Cleaner Wax from the blue bottle, their Eagle One cleaner wax, and the plethora of other cleaner waxes they used on the same foam pad, their cars turned out nicely.
My friends also loved the Meguiar's Endurance Hi-Gloss Tire Gel, which reeks of artificial grape scent. They loved it so much, in fact, that they not only used it for their tires and all "out-terior" (as they called it) plastic trim, but they found that it also worked well on chrome, liscense plates, dashboards, interior vinyl, and (I'm not kidding) carpet mats!!! As I said, they're not Autopian level detailers. Needless to say, my car looked the best despite being the oldest, though their cars did not look bad (except for the smears on the chrome from the Endurance Tire Gel!).
So now, I have a shiny car, and my friends have shiny dashboards and sticky grape smelling carpet mats.

I used it on my exterior black trim only to get browning after a week or two. I believe on the back of the bottle it says specifically not to use it on vinyl trim. (I might be confusing it with turtle wax tire stuff) Very interesting though, report to us how it does in the long run.

Man, that's like putting grape jelly mixed with vasoline and a bit of oil on you interior vinyl, carpet mats, etc. How could you let them do it

I thought I was bad.. when I was a kid we were going cruising and the car was "a work in progress" and was primered in black. Not wanting to show up on cruise night with a flat black car we took action! I worked at Mobil so we grabbed a few rags and a couple of cans of motor oil and wiped the whole exterior of the car with oil... super shiny indeed.... what a disaster the next day

I wanted to say, "Why don't you try it and tell me!", but I decided to be the good Autopian and told him that there are better glass cleaners out there.
Oh yeah, and he "loves the smell" in his car!

We ran in an event called "Carolina Meteor Express" kind of a quasi cannonball. My twin-cam Hemi toyota was painted catch-me corvette yellow. So the nite before the event we sprayed the car with WD-40 and drove up and down clay roads raising all sorts of hell in order to camaflauge the car!!!
