Successfull sell

My daughter just sold her car and got top dollar for it. It was in horrible shape and she calls me at 2:00pm asking if I could detail it for here as a prospect was flying down from Seattle to Portland to look at it the following day (they both work for the airline so they fly free). So I drag out the equipment at about 5:00pm and assess what needs to be done. It was in pretty bad shape as not much care had been done to it since the last time I detailed it over 6 months ago. The top of the car was badly oxidized and faded so I pulled out the rotary and went to work with DACP and then followed up with #81 with the PC on the top and the rest of the body. Didn't have time to do the whole thing in DACP, but the #81 definitely brought out a nice shine and finish. I then topped with #26 and sent her on her way about 9:00pm last night. She calls me today and says the gal bought it a full price and marveled at how new and shiney it was. Just goes to show you that a decent detailed vehicle will help a car sell all the time. I didn't have time to do all the little details like the engine compartment and the wheel wells, but it didn't matter. Car books out at $4250.00 and she got her asking price of $4000.00. I honestly don't think she would have sold it the way it was when she brought it over.

Yeah just did this for my parents Jaguar. It was a 1997 paint was in bad bad shape and it smelled like a cigarette. Swirls like you wouldnt believe, scratches, i would bet close to 20 serious bird etches. It was not good. Spent 10 hours on the car. We got 200 less then the Kelly blue book trade in value. The dealer asked who our detailer was when we traded it in, I laughed. Then procedded to say the car must have been well kept for it to look like this. HaHa! Chris

I recently sold my car too. The guy walked up and I could tell the moment he saw it it was sold. Sure it had a few battle scars to show for 5 years and 95,000 Kilometres, but is was honest (obviously never crashed) and was clean and shiny. So all our hard work detailing does pay off in the end.

Awesome!

Autopia member "Craigster" has a 2003 Mach 1 with 5k on the clock. He got offered the exact price he paid for it 2 years ago by two different people. It really does pay to keep up with it.
