"Subaru paint" is still either manufactured by PPG, Dupont, or BASF.

With that discount I must say temptation has nagged me a few times. To be able to pick up the Saab version for cheaper than the Subaru version is hard to pass up. Much nicer inside and, IMO better looking.
I like the clear bras. You should get it done before you pick up any stone chips though!

I would strip off the dealer applied wax with Down dishwashing liquid and re examine the dealer installed swirls. If there is really is swirls, then have it polished out and seal it with AOI or NXT and top it with 845IW for maximum protection.

Join Date: Jul 2005 Posts: 16 | Hey Ed, what do you mean when you say "seal it with AOI or NXT and top it with 825IW for maximum protection" ? What is AOI or NXT and what is 825IW? Sorry for the questions, Im a noob to car detailing, I usually just use the el-cheap-o car wash soap on my past cars and just rinse off. With this Saab I want to keep up the look it deserves. Thanks

Thanks | Klasse AOI(All in One) is a synthetique polymer/cleaner/sealant that is used by most Autopians here to seal their paint after polishing or surface prep, NXT is Meguiar's polymer cleaner wax that adds depth and gloss to dark color cars and may be found easily at retail stores, while AOI is more expensive and harder to find and purchased mostly through internet orders. Topping means adding another coat of natural carnuaba wax to the sealant to give it more warmth and gloss while at the same time provinding another layer for the scarificial barrier to the paint and Collinites 845IW is considered one of the most durable carnuaba waxes while still providing very good gloss and shine.

Thanks | AIO= Klasse All in One--it is a cleaner/polish/protectant acrylic sealant
NXT= Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax--sealant w/ mild cleaning properties
825IW= Collinite Insulator Wax--carnauba/polymer wax blend w/ long durability

Zaino ZFX + z2pro + z6 + z7 wash + z8 and you will be good 4-6 months at a time with just a good wash
