Things not to do when cleaning an engine.

Not sure if everyone knows this. But these are some things not to do when washing a car.

1. Dont let GUNK! or any other types of engine cleaners run freely to the storm drains or gutters. The product actually specifies to reclaim all water and rinse material and evaporate off the water. Pick an inbetween and at least only use these products over a lot where it can drain without going straight to water.

2. dont let the strong chemical cleaners stand on aluminum long, it can oxidize/etch it.

3. dont spray the distributor directly if washing with water. use an air compressor if you can to blow dust off first, and then water out of crevices later.
