Final Inspection with Mother's Clay?

I'm running out of the Mother's QD that came with the Mother's Clay Kit. I read somewhere that the Mother's QD and Final Inspection does not contain carnuba. Would it be alright to use Final Inspection as the clay lubricant with the Mother's Clay Bar?

Mothers clay bar doesn't like water that much....

It will work with car wash, but could streak a bit on the car. No biggie, just don't freak when it happens! Any of those QD-ers will work fine with mothers clay. I have used it before with great results.

MercManiac, nice car you've got there!!

The Mother's QD that came in the kit I bought had carnauba in it so I never used it with the claybar.

I personally find that using the diluted body shampoo works well because not only do I get the cleaning action of the clay, I also get cleaning from the soap. I get dirty dirty suds in addition to a dirty claybar.

intermezzo - our ShowtimeŽ Instant Detailer does not have carnauba in it. Feel free to use it with clay, without worry.

As DK indicated, we recommend using a proper detailer as clay lube instead of a water/car soap solution, as streaking may occur.

However, I realize many have done so without bad effect. We just don't recommend it.

I just double-checked my Mother's QD bottle and sure enough it doesn't say Carnauba anywhere. I wonder why I thought I read Carnauba. Thanks for the info forrest.

I definitely get streaking after using soap as a lube, but I shampoo right afterwards.
