My question is does anyone know what type of paintjob a 91 Plymouth Laser / Mitsu Eclipse has? Is it BC/CC or SS? I am off on saturday and she was thinking I would be able to do it then. Its in pretty sore shape, not much shine anywhere, swirls all over, etc etc. I was thinking of claying, then starting with 80 and moving to 83 if needed.
Thanks!

Here is a site where you can enter in the year, model, then make and it will list the colors and show them as cc or not: http://www.paintscratch.com/

It lists sophia white and brilliant white, with brilliant white being the CC. Hard to say which one it is. I just thought of something..... I could take the paint code number to a paint shop and ask what type it is.
Either way, I think i should be safe with the products i plan on using, right?

There are a few signs of CC failure, such as the RF fender, around the door handles, the CC is pealing, the hood has got some of those little CC cracks, you know the kind that makes your skin crawl and feel nasty....hehe. I used #80 on it today after wash, clay wash; much improved! I have never clayed an entire car before and that was amazing. I used about 3/4 of a clay magic bar, the other 1/4 was used on the glass.
