Second, I not only sent out samples, I also packed a sample kit just for Autopia members (called the Autopia Sample Pack), which I sold to Autopia members at reduced prices. | But we've only heard from two, both of which you gave samples. No ones else, besides me, has stepped forward to provide you with a review of your product. How can you explain this?

Lastly, many years ago, when I drove 2000 miles a week (yes, a week) for my job, I drove a 1995 Infiniti J30t. Some weekends I had the time to wax it. Those following Mondays, my gas mileage was 1 to 3 mpg higher versus a week later w/o a new coat of wax.
Believe it or not. |
I'll vote for the "NOT". 1 to 3 mpg higher just because you WAXED the car? Uh. No.
If that were the case, then my '01 Ford Taurus would get about 32 mpg, since it is polished and waxed constantly. But, it doesn't.
Are you sure the mpg increase wasn't related to something else, like driving speed, tire pressure, brand of gas, etc? There's just no way I can believe a 1-3mpg bump off of a wax job.

You've even had someone offer to purchase your company if you could substansiate the three claims you've made in prior post. You can't do it.

I thought I ruled out all other factors, but who knows, maybe I was lighter on the gas pedal w/o realizing it.
I am just happy I don't drive the miles anymore......

If you can provide any scientific proof of the 1210' claim, I'll eat one of my buffer pads. You do realize that 1200' is in the range of high-temperature paints that are used on brake calipers and the like? Do you really expect any of us to believe, without proof, that any wax or sealant will stand up to those kinds of temps? You started all of this by including a short little infomercial in your first post. People started questioning you on it, and now it has spun into this. There's a lesson to be learned, there, I think . . .

I'm just tired of hearing the same crap from companies that don't support their claims other than to say they have nothing to prove to anybody. There's alot of new people that come here that are unaware about these claims these companies make, backed by no evidence, and might get suckered into buying these products. And yes, pwak, I'll shut up because I don't have anything nice to say about this matter.

My company is NOT for sale.
I did not start an infomercial. If you'll read back, all I did was tell the guy that started this thread that color need not be a factor when selecting a wax. You all prompted the further discussions.
There is no way for me to support my claims via a computer.
YOU claimed NASCAR teams do not wax their cars....I proved differently. Of course, no response.
I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't. If I respond to your "comments", I am "pimping" my product. If I don't, I obviously can't substantiate my claims. Don't you have cars to detail or something? I do. See ya.

Why hasn't this person been banned? Better people have been banned for a lot less.

The people on this forum know more about the use of polishes and waxes than I do. I may know how to make a product, but these folks have taken application to the next level.
And guess what? You've ticked them off with your over the top hype. If you had come on the forum without all the B.S. you would have been readily accepted and your products would have had a fair shot...that chance is probably gone now. But, I wouldn't be surprised to see you re-invent the program...maybe next year...you'll learn.
If you want to sell to the mindless masses...then keep it up. If you want to sell to autopians...lose the baggage.
